A Five-Week Home 308nm UVB Journey Along the Hairline
A customer-documented photo record of the same hairline area beside the ear from July 8 to August 14, 2025, together with the UV308A 308nm LED UVB device used during the home routine.
“During my follow-up, the professor said the change looked very good for just one month. Because the lighter area had already developed noticeably more color, I was told that I could pause phototherapy for the time being.”
The area I was monitoring was along the hairline beside my ear. I took the first photo on July 8, 2025, followed by additional photos on July 16, July 27 and August 14. These dated photos gave me a simple way to compare the same area over time.
I used the UV308A 308nm LED UVB device for this small, localized area at home. Phototherapy was not the only part of my care. I was also using medication under medical guidance, so I cannot attribute the changes shown in the photos to the device alone.
When I returned for a follow-up after about a month, the doctor who examined me was a professor. The professor said the change looked very good and that seeing this degree of change in about one month was very encouraging. Because the white patch had already developed noticeably more color, I was told that I could temporarily pause phototherapy.
The professor also asked which device I had been using. I explained that I had purchased it online and shared the brand name. My medication was also reviewed and adjusted as part of the follow-up.

Important context
The photographs were not taken under standardized clinical photography conditions, so lighting, distance and camera angle vary. The submitted materials do not include a complete record of the exact dose, exposure time or full treatment plan, and medication was also part of this customer’s care.
This page documents one individual experience and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed or typical result, or as evidence that the device alone caused the observed changes. Phototherapy settings should not be copied from another user and should follow the device instructions and appropriate professional guidance.
