FAQs
You have questions, we have answers.
How does the BU-1 built-in timer work?
Set the desired treatment time before use. The timer helps control the duration of each session and automatically stops the lamp when the preset time is complete.
What is the difference between BU-1 and BU-1S?
Both models use 311nm narrowband UVB technology. The main difference is that BU-1 includes a timer for easier session control, while BU-1S uses a simpler manual operation without a timer.
How long does phototherapy usually take?
Treatment time varies from person to person and depends on the size, location, and condition of the treated area. Consistent use over several months may be needed before noticeable changes appear.
When can I expect to see initial results?
Changes may gradually appear after several weeks or months of consistent use. The response can vary depending on the treated area and individual skin condition.
Do I need to wear protective goggles during treatment?
Yes. UV-protective goggles should be worn during UVB exposure. Avoid looking directly at the UVB lamp while it is operating.
Can I use the BU-1 during summer?
Yes, but avoid combining excessive sunlight exposure with UVB treatment. If the treated skin becomes sunburned or irritated, allow it to recover before continuing.
What should I do if my skin becomes red after treatment?
Mild redness can occur after UVB exposure. If the skin becomes noticeably red, sore, swollen, or uncomfortable, pause treatment until the reaction has fully settled before continuing.
Why is there no redness after my first treatment?
This can be normal, especially when starting with a short exposure time. Skin response varies between individuals, so treatment time should be adjusted gradually according to professional guidance.
